About artist

Using well-known symbols and allusions Anastasia creates her own distinctive language. In her works she explores the archetype of the Muse or Priestess woman, her connections with untouched nature and the surrounding world, as well as permanency of certain feminine virtues.

Here woman is the triumph of freedom, nobility, generosity and greatness.
The heroes of paintings are gods and goddesses, fairy nymph women, mysterious mermaids. The artist paints her own picture of a fantastic (fantasy) world, existing somewhere in the universe. In deep, multi-layered works are encrypted entire cosmogonies – worlds not without their sacramental meanings.
You will be immersed in mythology where the beauty of the body is praised as the main masterpiece designed by the Creator of all things.

Anastasia Ehlers watercolor is an exceptional phenomenon of painting, her technique is very complex and unique. The artist has worked out her own author's painting methodology that helps you feel the the volume of the color and creates compound color interaction. Coloration virtuoso, the artist makes her artworks vibrate with the light and colors.
The artist doesn’t set any limits in means of artistic expressiveness and feels herself free both in easel painting and graphics.
Having graduated as an architect-artist from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts named after I. Repin, Anastasia works as an architect, interior designer and an artist.

BIO

Anastasia was born in St. Petersburg in a family of art critics.
After art school and drawing classes, she entered the St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin. She graduated in 2003 with a master's degree in architect-artist.
Then, together with her husband, she founded a successful architectural and art workshop.
Anastasia is the creative director and chief artist of the workshop.
Her works are acquired for collections all over the world.

Digital Art (NFT)
Her work is "CODE: Eva - Independence" was presented on March 8, 2024 on a billboard in Times Square in New York City as part of the exhibition "Women in Technology 2024".
This event was a testament to her growing influence and recognition of her artistic talents.
